The type works as the name of preset, which defines a CSS.
You can use the css property to override font-size set through usage of type: https://snippet.webix.com/mqnkp97x
For some reason, when I do that, I lose the lines next to the text.
Unfortunately, I can’t repeat the described issue. Could you please provide which skin you use, webix and browser versions?
