Yep, currently tooltips are always placed next to the mouse position, that can result in very short tooltips near the right border of the screen.
We will try to address this in one of the next updates

Unfortunately, there is no fix yet.
I’m not sure that it will ready before release of Webix 3.0
It requires relative complex modifications and we are busy with preparing updates for Webix 3.0.
so, i suppose there is still no fix for that?
Maybe it’s good idea to integrate other library? E.g.: http://github.hubspot.com/tether/
