Custom Components of Different Shapes

How can I create a custom component that have non-rectangular shapes? Like flowchart symbols… rhombus, parallelogram, elliptical, etc:

There is no built-in solution for such kind of component ( though we have a Diagram widget on our roadmap )

You can create your own component based on dataview with your own positioning logic, as it shown in the above snippet

I like the snippet example. I will see what I can do with it.
As far as the Diagram Widget… how far down the road will it be?

There is no exact date for the Diagram widget.
Probably May 2015
