It looks like the first click on a checkbox does not refresh the checkbox.

It’s a known issue (chrome-only). The fix will be included in the next version.

Any simple workaround ? ( I tried refreshColumns ()without success )

The next release is scheduled for February 2016.

For now, you can render the checkbox either with standard HTML or FontAwesome means, without using ActiveContent:
